 pdf

*Mr. Miagi -A hairless Chinese Crested, resides in Bradenton, FL.

*He is a registered therapy pet and author.

Mr. Miagi is a passionate teacher.  He knows that we are all uniquely beautiful.

He shares his journey of self-discovery and growth in a book for all ages -

Mr. Miagi  asks..."What would you do?"  The book has a beautiful lesson for all of us.  It is the perfect tool to get families and students talking about diversity, acceptance and self -esteem.

"This book can really help people who are self-conscious understand that it happens to everyone, and to realize that no one is perfect.  We all have many good qualities regardless of what we look like." -

                                  - Crystle Fannon, 12,  W.D. Sugg Middle School

"Dogs like to be treated like part of the family.  Notice the expressions Mr. Miagi has with different clothing on him.  He knows he is loved just as I know my family loves me.  Reading and looking at Mr. Miagi makes me happy."

                                  - Adam Garret, 10,  Wilkerson Elementary

Mr. Miagi, in his own story, teaches us how to unconditionally respect others, as well as ourselves. It doesn't matter what our looks are, or what our social status is, or the condition of our health, we are all individuals with a need to be accepted, and a need to acccept others, unconditionally, for who we are.  As my ten-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, so simply described the book: "Mr. Miagi taught me it's the inside of people we should like."

                                    - Dr. Scott L. Kosfeld, M.D.
